I noticed that there are two extra pins on the fuel pump connector.

Is this attached to a fuel level sender on the underside? How is fuel level displayed?

My guess is that the level sender is not there, just the through contacts.

There is a data output from the Life ecu that tracks fuel consumption, it can be reset from the engine monitoring software. I have been comparing this to what I actually used (fuel put in minus what I pump out at the end of the day) and the ECU data is about 1/2 of what I used. YMMV

Interesting. I've also read about folks having a sensor of some sort which only reads a low level (on/off), rather than the levels as it drops. Apparently this may not be reliable either!

There's no sensor.  The original pump is from a 2002-2003 Audi TT (OEM is Siemens, I have the part number in my notebook). If you buy that pump it comes with a sensor (a swinging float) that will not fit the Radical tank with its foam and central sump design. (this is true in my 2007 SR8, but of course Radical may have changed that later)

I was able to fit a low level sensor that connects to those pins, but because of the foam/sump its design is compromised and I only get a warning when I have about a liter of fuel left. Which isn't enough fuel to get me all the way around the track to the paddock.

I've learned how to keep track of fuel usage (my MoTeC ECU is amazingly accurate), and I calibrate my usage by draining the tank and comparing it to what the ECU says. I'm hopeful I can use the same protocol on my 2009 SR8 with its Life ECU.
