@bluefunelement - Thanks Christian.  I'd be interested to learn what you find inside once it's apart.  Keep us in the loop.

Further to this is looks like this is one of the areas addressed on the Gen 3 Hayabusa motor itself. I'm sure RPE studies the yearly changes that occur from Suzuki and adapt them as best practice for rebuilds, especially reliability related.

https://www.hayabusa.org/forum/threads/2022-engine-changes.200686/

Information on the transmission revisions are near the bottom, these are fairly significant changes overall, most likely to make the factory quick shifter mechanism reliable. RPE having run paddle options for a long time would likely exaggerate the wear in this area as well.

Christian I'm also interested to hear what happened, but I'd assume the higher water temp is coincidental as water isn't involved near this part of the motor. The shaft being out of position would be a good indication that roller bearing has completely let go.

According to SM this beefier clutch piston seal is what is addressed on any “X” rebuilds. Sounds like a common enough issue and going to add cost to the rebuild now it’s broken.
get your “X”’s stamped is the lesson learned.
