Paddle Shift Issue
Hello all. Thought I would start here and see what I can learn, and then have documented to help others (this forum has been a good resource for me thus far).
I ran a good track day Saturday and pulled the car into the trailer. Went out for the first session on Sunday, and the paddle shift system did not work at all. No shift actions and the air pump was not running.
LifeECU controlled system. PTMon reports the Gearshift System Pressure / Voltage Limit / Voltage Failure error shown in the picture. It is as if there is no sensor connected at all. This is the same error pattern you will see for missing or unplugged sensors.
I now know the oil pressure and fuel pressure senders are the same as the air pressure sender on the gearshift air canister. Swapping between the air and the oil unit yields the same error. The pressure sensor appears to be ok, but I will order a new one to make sure and to have a a spare.
The pump is fine and works well when connected to a 12v source. It seems there is a relay involved there, but I am not sure that would throw the error on the ECU if failed.
Its difficult to run pin out continuity tests on the paddle shift harness that runs from the ECU to all of the various components. Colors are hidden behind insulation and there are a ton of branches. My big wiring diagram is from 2009 and does not include the detail on this harness and the Life controller paddle shift setup, so I can't determine pin numbers.
Any thoughts on where I should go next?

Hi Walter,
Paddleshift relay would be the first thing to change.
Download the Life data, check for GSP control, if this is on then the ECU is trying to activate it. This would again point towards the relay. It is a small one near the compressor and separate from the Life Engine ones.
Update:
LifeECU data downloaded. The ECU thinks all is well. The air pressure sensor turns out to be ok. I now know the shift air, oil and fuel pressure sensors are all the same. The relay is also good, but the ECU is not grounding the pin on the relay to turn on the air pump. It thinks it is, but no ground there, and no ground on that pin out of the ECU either. I am troubleshooting this deeper with some help from Spring Mountain. I may ship the ECU to them for testing.
Does anyone have a pin-out / diagram of the paddle shift harness? I have some parts of it figured out, but the colors are not unique and its makes things difficult.
@rjbender Thank you very much. I did not have the LifeECU/F88 pin out previously and that is helpful for sure.
