Steering Wheel Cable
My SR3 has been updated over the years by Radical Dealers. I belive the paddle shift upgrade was done at Sring Mountain. Are replacement cables for the steering wheel paddle shift/nuetral all the same? Can I order over the phone or is each one unique? I suspect mine has some issues, as occasionaly the car does not want to shift out of nuetral, yet after unplugging/plugging in it seems (mostly) to solve the issue...
When it does not shift there is no response at all from the system. Not trying to shift at all, no response....
Cheers
Hi @jeff-alton, I believe there are different wires based on the paddle shift system that you have. I would recommend calling Spring Mountain and letting them know which chassis number and which paddle shift system your car has. They have experience going back to very early cars. Also depending on when the modification was done they may still have it in there records if they did the work.
@charleyhradicalsportscarregistry-com Thank you very much.
Turns out it was Team Straddale that did the conversion and they had one in stock and shipped promptly. Great service!
It's been a few years now, but I converted my SR8 to an internal pin connection, i.e., the connections are internal to the steering shaft. It's been flawless, and very convenient without a cable. Happy to share more if anyone is interested.
Interested!
