I've been looking at preheaters:

https://www.preheat.co.uk/product-type/oil-sump-gearbox-heaters/

What is normally used on the SR8?

Where are they positioned?

My understanding is that most people use the Wolverine heaters.  I have hear of people putting them on the dry sump reservoir, or on  bottom of the engine cases, or both.

Mine is on the bottom of the dry sump reservoir/bellhousing.

Yep, use the tweaks one that you linked. Try to wire it up with a breaker incase you drive off with it connected/anything shorts.

Go for the bottom of the bell housing/ oil tank. Bottom of the engine isnt worth it and have seen pads burn out due to overheating with there being no fluid to heat.
