Crank sensor or wiring from it to the ECU. Look in other channels, see if there are dips, maybe the ECU is cutting out. But my bet is the crank sensor/circuit.

That sheet shows the data coming from the ECU. So according to that, the ECU does look at water temp and oil temp etc.. so the dash can use the ECU sensors.

Glad to hear you got it out on track. As for the battery issue, sounds like it could be a charging issue. We can look at the data in the ECU and see what the voltage was.
