I recently got a 2013 Radical SR3 RS (#00846). The AIM dash might be a little flaky. The second time I ran the car I couldn't download data. I've also seen the RPM data drop out on the SmartyCam recording.
I have an AIM MXS dash lying about. I was wondering if anyone has tried upgrading the dash to an MXS or other newer model?
Hi Doug(@dbg), Welcome! Aim makes an adapter to convert MXL wiring harnesses to MXL 2 harnesses, which I believe should work with the MXS dash also. I would recommend contacting Matt (@trailbrake) at Trailbrake.com because he is an Aim dealer and can help you with the conversion.
There are also a few guys on here that have done the conversion that I am sure will chime in and share their first hand experiences.

I would check the connections and that the SC cable isn't damaged. Odd the RPM would drop out.
The adapter harness would work with an MXS 1.2 and would be an easy upgrade. My favorite is the MXP - I think the size and aspect ratio are better than the MXS.
Had an MXP installed in my RS and I really like the display. Problem is, it's a little big for the Radical.
Can send pics if your interested in going that route.
Only disappointment was the camera. It's really only 720 not 1080 or 4k so when you watch content on a larger tv it doesn't look very good. My old Mobius cameras I was buying for $85 look better.
