Anyone tried ceramic coating for headers for heat reduction?

@gordon513 I coated the headers and the rest of the exhaust in my SR8 RS. The coating on the left side header has flaked off a bit, so I'm going to have it redone. It's expensive (about $800 USD), and I can't really say it has reduced engine environment temps, but it sure looks a lot better. 🙂

I went ahead and did it. Done by Jet Hot in NC. Not cheap. Before the coating I took a temp reading on a spot on the exhaust pipe after letting car idle for a certain time and getting to a certain oil & water temp. Prior to the coating the temp was 415. After it was 220. So it did cut it in about half. And
of course the upgraded look makes it go faster 🙂
