Is it relatively straightforward? Radical are sending me a replacement panel from the XX that has the mounting bracket for the PDM so i can finally see its status LED's without having to remove the sidepod, which was rubbish!

It looks like it's just simply rivetted on - as for bodywork, is it simply a case of drilling out the rivets and attach the new skin panel with more peel rivets?

thanks

What panel and where?  Peel rivets should be used for soft materials like fiberglass or carbon fiber where you are unable to use a backing washer; for metal parts use an open end blind rivet with appropriate grip range. For robust parts where you can access both sides like the rear diffuser, the better option is an open end blind rivet with a backing washer.

Riveting is straightforward if you choose the right rivet for the job.

@davidf

its the panel/sheet metal that i guess is rivetted to the chassis, on the side next to the passenger (or driver in your case probably), which the PDM is mounted to amongst other things, the compressor, charging module etc.

is the diameter of rivet to use for this the same one as for the soft parts e.g. the 4mm one i've used to secure roll bar panel back?

OK, so the standard open-end blind rivet with a dome head are what you should use.  I don't know for sure the exact size but my guess is 4mm or 5/32 and probably 3mm (1/8") to 6mm (1/4") grip range (ugh, we don't use the metric system here, although we do drive on the right side of the road 🤣).  I like to drill off just the head of the existing rivets with a slightly larger bit than the body diameter (e.g. 5mm) so that the body does not spin, then push the body through the hole.
