Hey guys -- this fitting comes out of the Quaife Q58 (aka non-hypoid) gearbox in my SR8. It's outer thread dimension is approximately 16.5 mm, and the thread pitch seems to be close to 1.5mm. But I've never heard of a metric thread of 16.5 mm, and there's no corresponding imperial size (it's slightly larger than 5/8").

I'd like to convert this to 6AN, but I'm stumped...

John (@parsonsJ), let me look in my bag parts because I may have one that will work for you.  That looks similar to the fitting that is used for an SR3 GDU, which has an AN fitting on one side.  I will check tomorrow.

Thanks for the help! But I fixed it up myself.

My guess, it’s BSP, British Standard Pipe

Graeme -- that's what I concluded too -- 3/8" BSPP (last 'P' for parallel), which is 16.6mm and 19 threads per inch.
