Good evening all. I’m soon to be the extremely happy owner of sr3 chassis number 309. Any advice regarding setup and maintenance will be greatly appreciated

Congratulation!  You will find that the manuals have good set up information.  The manuals for your car can be found in the Resource Library.  Post pictures of your car when you have a chance. 🙂

@levin-schenk have you had chance to get it on track yet? Had my first drive yesterday, the car is an animal!

@itsabighead Awesome! Which track were you on? Yes! I was at Anneau du Rhin in France three weeks ago. At first, I had big problems with the tires; they wouldn't warm up and were extremely slippery. As it turned out later, the slicks were at least six years old. Luckily, I had another set with me. With those, it worked immediately, and I was up to speed pretty quickly. Before the SR3, I had a modified BMW M4—no comparison. It took some getting used to driving the high-speed corners and trusting the grip. But then, overtaking a 911 GT3 was never so easy! 😁 Do you have paddle shifters, or do you have to use the clutch?

I was at oulton park in the uk, great track. Yes it’s got paddle shift. Needs a few small jobs before the next outing. Nothing better than getting out of the seat with a big smile on the face and hands shaking with the adrenaline. There was an sr10 there as well, absolute rocket ship

@itsabighead  fantastic, oulton park is my second fave in UK behind silverstone GP. I run the car entirely on my own so its easily dooable with the help from this forum + totally Radical facebook group.

For maintenance, just read the manual about 5x and scour this forum going through all the threads, you'll pick up plenty of knowledge.

For setup, do you have access to your own flat garage floor/flat patch/scales etc? If you're doing the setup on your own it all starts there, then it's string alignment etc.

@rojid hi mate, yes I do have a flat floor and scales. Not ventured in to using them yet. Do you know of any good sources for set up info?
fair play to you for running it on your own! I luckily have a few good mates that also track cars and are handy on the spammers and electrical side of things so k usually tag along with them. Once I’ve had a good few outings and understand the car a bit more that will change. And I agree, there is some great knowledge to be harvested from this forum and others on social media
