SR3 RS 2009 AIM MXS 1.2 Dash upgrade configuration help needed
Hi fellow radical racers drivers, I have recently installed a new AIM MXS 1.2 Logger display in our SR3 RS 2009 1500 car, car is road legal (not used on tracks), running on a Life Pectel ECU, gauge now reads all temps pressures ok, vehicle speed and mileage, however other than indicators icon working, i cant seem to get the sidelights, headlights, full beam, fog light icons to show up. anyone configured a MXS 1.2 dash replacing the old MXL strada dash the car originally came with? one other feature which would be nice to merge into the new dash is the gear indicator, currently a separate gauge from factory was installed, as could not configure at that time on a MXL display. car has sequential gear shifter, not paddle shift. any pointers greatly appreciated.
@julian_radical I've done a lot of configuration with the MXS 1.2 dash on my 2009 SR8. I completely rewired the car and replaced the Life ECU with a MoTeC M150 ECU and replace the factory Stack dash with the AiM MXS 1.2. Getting the icons (you've got the street version I'm guessing) to work should be straightforward, but we'd need to dig into your loom and see how it's all wired.
@parsonsj Hi John thanks for the reply, from what
been informed, i need to select the correct analogue channels in order for the icons to show up correctly on the MXS 1.2 display, the indicators and hazard lights are working on the display, but all other lighting no icons, but of course all lights etc are working correctly, wiring was not touched, the new aim MXS 1.2 unit was ordered with the radical adaptor harness, so just simply plug in with the adaptor harness and then configure the display for the correct ECU, i had some help with that part from the asian support centre, but they have no records of our particular car on record, other than a SR3 SL. which our car is not, we do have one of those as well though, and a RXC, but those displays are fine. attached wiring harness layouts from what i could find on this site. im guessing they are correct.
Hi Julian, that looks helpful. Any chance you can send me the AiM configuration file?
