I have heard that if one over-tightens the tie down straps, it can move the alignment or bend arms.  I don't have first hand knowledge as I am new to tying down and towing, but I would rather not confirm this with my own experience.

I've heard that too although never experienced it personally. Particularly considering the length of the "AT0008 - Wheel Transport Tie-downs" that makes a good amount of lever from the hub pivot points.

I dont actually use the Transport Tie-downs when tying the front wheels. Rather I pass the strap inside the wheel through the branches, around the hub and back out through branches on the opposite side.

Aluma has increased the choices they offer and I would suggest you look over the whole line to find the best one for you. I think mine is this,

7710-7712 Utility Trailer Models | Single Axle Utility Trailers (alumaklm.com)

I bought mine 12 years ago and it has 14 inch wheels, now they are 13 per the specs. I would go bigger to save the bearings.

I added in my order the beaver tail that helps with loading. The Prosport sits at 2.5 inches at the front bulkhead and 2.75 inches at the rear frame member per the factory manual.

Anyone put the car on wheel dollies or air-jack dollies to load into a trailer?  Any issues with doing this (safety or otherwise)?

@dwang2000  that is just messy.. why you wanna put it on dollies? Just simply tilt your trailer and add long enough ramps.. this simple. If you cant tilt your trailer like i do,

I made short ramps about 30cm high i used to reverse my backwheels up on with car that pulls the trailer 10-15yrs ago .that tilts the trailer up.

I thought this might be the best place to share my ramp setup to get the radical up on my four post lift. I used 1/2” thick board ripped the width of the ramp in lengths of 6 inch increments and stacked. They were then glued and screwed together. I then used a single board that spanned all the steps, it eases the car up and now I can drive it (or push) up or down without scraping.

Race Ramps are very nice but not cheap.  As others have done, I made these at 9' long that fit under the trailer door, keeping the end about 4" off the ground.  $30, a saw, some screws and couple hours later......
