I am excited to see the latest version of the SR3!  The new SR3XXR looks to have some great upgrades:

- Improved brakes

- New generation RPE Hayabusa based engine with reliability and performance improvements

- New Life Racing Power Distribution Unit (PDU)

- New light weight wheel design to reduce un-sprung weight

- New Electronic Drive-by-Wire throttle

- Improved aerodynamics.

Looks great (except for the halo, which is probably contentious) . Love the SR10 side pods and LMP fin.

I guess I know what my SR8 will look like when it gets re-bodied 😉

@mark44,  The halo is optional so you can get one without it.  🙂

What are your Rebody plans?  Sound interesting...

Hi Charlie,

Halo optional . Noted 😉

TBH the new body plans are not imminent, as fortunately my car was re-bodied prior to purchase in 2019 and is still in excellent condition.

I did however contact the factory regarding compatibility of SR3RSX body panels on a gen 2 SR8. After discussing with one of the tech's it turns out this is theoretically possible on a gen2 SR8 (but not a gen3) as the chassis and underpinnings are mechanically the same on a gen3 SR3 RX - which of course can be re-bodied to RSX spec. I think at the time it was about £14K for all the panels, electrics and sundries.

I personally think the SR3RSX/XX and now XXR is far and away Radicals best looking car and for that reason plan to re-body with these items when the time comes. And no, I wont try and enter the SR3 cup in it 😆

Those new sidepods look awesome. I debated with myself for a while if I should build a sharkfin into my sr3 re-body when molding the new carbon parts, i ended up no doing- it but after seeing it on the newSR3XXR I think that Id made a mistake leaving it off. I cant wait to see one of those in person.

It is a lovely car! Makes my low hoop RS-bodied SR8 look like a moving museum.
