Hans, I remain interested. Are you running the new uprights on the fronts and the OEMs on the back? How did the brakes behave? Was it a noticeable difference in braking distance? Or is the idea to have lower running costs with Wilwoods vs the original Hi-Specs?

John, we were using (SR8) the wilwood 120-13263 with termlock, 310mm rotors  on the front and original radical calipers and 300mm rotors on the rear .

rotor temperature was 250 front and 300 rear

The front was stopping that good that the driver did not like the balance with the rears. So we just order the same calipers for the rears.

The selling point is better performance, brake fluid, pads and rotors will last longer and reduced maintenance service.

i am extremely happy with results.

Hans are you going to sell these as part of a kit, 4 custom uprights with calipers and rotors or are you just going to be selling the uprights?

What is the weight of the upright, caliper, rotor, and hub compared to the OEM parts?

Was thinking about doing the uprights on my SR3 this winter so very interested.  This should work just as well on an SR3 correct?

  1. @trakmnky sorry. I just saw the message. They will be manufactured based on your needs. Upright only, upright with brakes, etc. Upright only is a little bit heavier that OEM due to stronger bearing and hub.

Has anyone else tried these uprights? Any more experiences gained?

Or is it someone else who has found some other options? It would be exciting to see what alternatives there are to OEM.

The set in the pictures are mine - I've been very happy with them. The camber shims are super nice, and running brakes I can buy parts for at Jegs is pretty nice too.

For reference, I just got a dealer quote on Radical's new cast uprights: $1,748 ea.
