Driver's halo + brace padding
I configured my SR10 with a center seat and a driver halo. As such is it still necessary to have padding on the roll hoop front braces? I have heard that the factory Radical labelled pads slide down the braces and become an annoyance. Even so I think they look pretty cool but if they are not functional why bother. Apparently, there are other solutions that include zip tying a pad on the inner sides of the braces.
@sr10formetoo, if you have the center seating position with a halo head restraint you don’t need the pads for the cross bars. In your configuration they are just for looks.
Huh? They have sr10 with halo???

It is the halo seat not the F1 style halo you may be thinking of.
Did you get the DRS option as well?

Tell us about it.
Here it is: Works great, I see it in action every few weeks. 😉

Are you suggesting DRS is an option for an SR10?
I wished it was, I was just having fun with Robert above.
An option I'd like to see are some lighter rims. We have enough cars out there, it would be nice if there was a lighter forged option.
@trakmnky hehehehhe you bastard!
but hey! That actually sounds good! Its not that hard to make anyway. Just a pneumatic cylinder that «colapses» the main blade with a push of a button..
The 3 piece wheels are significantly lighter than the one-piece wheels, so that's an option if the one-piece aren't required.

I ordered a center seat too and did not go with the side bar padding. I was advised not to by Spring Mountain.
Thanks for the info John. I'll certainly look into the 3 piece wheels. I'm a long ways from making weight for SCCA racing and that'll help.
I just ordered a set of 3 piece from Ryan at Yongbloed Racing. They are about 16 lbs lighter than the forged wheels and he has sold plenty of them for use in a Radical. All in all I'm very happy.
